Safety nets

Safety nets are an indispensable part of every major ski sports event and guarantee the highest possible level of safety. We offer a wide range of models depending on the intended use and quantity. All C-nets and B-nets are available on request in various designs, heights, lengths and net sizes.

Mains type B

B nets are the perfect solution for those areas of the ski slope where it is not possible or not worthwhile to use fixed type A safety nets. For the protection of ski slopes in normal seasonal operation as well as during competitions, it is usual to place two or three lines of B nets at predetermined distances at the most dangerous points. The flexibility of polycarbonate fence posts allows the energy released by a skier's impact to be gradually dissipated. This reduces the likelihood of serious injuries.

Our B-networks can be arranged in many different ways and are not limited to the examples shown. These are only intended to illustrate the most commonly used alternatives and their effect on the price.

Correct installation of the B-net

The elasticity of the rods is used to create a corresponding tension that keeps the B-net taut. The first hole should be drilled with a 35 mm drill bit at an angle of 10-20° away from the net (see illustration), the remaining rods should then be drilled vertically. The last rod is again drilled at an angle of 10-20° to create the necessary tensile force to keep the net taut.

Arrangement options

By setting up 3 rows 2 metres apart, the net construction is able to stop the fallen runner (speed approx. 100 km/h) within 4 - 6 metres without any further danger to the body.
B Nets can be arranged in many ways and are not limited to our examples, but these are the most commonly used variants.

Mains type B/C

B/C nets have been newly defined by the FIS and are used to demarcate pistes on which slalom and giant slalom races take place. B/C nets are intended to safely stop a fallen skier sliding on the ground at speeds of approx. 50-60 km/h. This type of net is also frequently used in tourist skiing to protect ski slopes.

The safety boundary B/C consists of a safety net measuring 15 x 1.30 m, which is mounted on 9 - 11 safety poles, height 1.70 m, Ø 35mm, with 2 safety clamps. Mesh size 50x 50mm

Mains type C

C-nets are mainly used to cordon off race courses and to keep crowds away from various areas or to guide them in the right direction. Examples of uses include barriers at lift entrances, start and finish lines at races, and ski school areas for children. We offer a number of different C-nets in various heights, lengths and net sizes.

These nets are available with polycarbonate poles or fibreglass poles. Cord diameter 2.5 mm or 3.5 mm, mesh size 100 x 100 mm or 125 x 125 mm.

PE barrier fences

PE barrier fences are highly visible and versatile fences that are permeable to wind and snow. The material consists of UV-stabilised polyethylene with high resistance. The mesh size of the fences is 80x30mm. Available in heights of 1.2 and 0.6m, on a roll, with sewn-in tunnels for PC or fibreglass poles.

Barriers mounted on polycarbonate poles:

  • Poles: Diameter 30mm, height 1.7m
  • Net lengths: 10m, 12m, 25m
  • Net height: 1.2m
  • Colours: red/yellow or blue/neon yellow

Barriers mounted on fibreglass poles:

  • Poles: Diameter 16mm, height 1.6m, with steel tip
  • Net lengths: 10m, 12m, 25m
  • Net height: 1.2m
  • Colour: red/yellow

Customised printed nets

Barrier fences can also be printed with a customised design. With an in-house tailoring and printing shop, we print using both screen and digital printing, which allows the use of an unlimited number of colours and designs. Even special requirements are no problem for us, we are happy to help with every step of the ordering process.

These revolutionary barrier fences can be used as a C-net and offer completely new possibilities for use thanks to their digital print. Thanks to the perfect print quality, these fences are ideal for use as marketing and signposting surfaces in ski resorts. At winter sports events, the printed fences replace conventional advertising banners and are also very easy to handle. These C-nets are available fully printed up to a length of 10 metres or partially printed in 2.5 metre segments.

For optimum placement of advertising, we also offer banners printed on one side in any length up to a height of 1.45 metres, which can be easily mounted on B nets using integrated metal eyelets.

Type C barrier fence with sewn-in tunnels for PC poles, full digital print on both sides (up to 7.5m) or partial print in 2.5m segments, reverse side printed mirror-inverted.

  • Poles: Polycarbonate poles, diameter 35mm, pole height 0.95m or 1.6m
  • Net lengths: 2.5m, 5m, 7.5m, 10m, 15m, 20m
  • Net height: 0.6m, 1.2m, banner up to 1.45m
  • Mesh size: 10x10mm
  • Colours: blue, red, black

Brand new on the market are our fully printed barrier fences with zip fasteners in 2.5m segments. This means that sponsors for events, for example, can be easily changed or customised. Regular C-net segments can also be easily equipped with this zip function.

Barrier tapes and barrier rolls

This type of barrier is mainly used to close off non-permanent racetracks.

Our barrier roll was developed for trainers who need to quickly and easily cordon off a training course up to 1400 metres in length.
